I saw a former Hare Krishna on EWTN's "Coming Home" program a few days ago. He said that the reason he converted to Christianity (after having left his Catholic upbringing and having had a bad experience with a minister [denomination not named, except that he was not Catholic]) was that the story of Jesus is not one that anyone would make up. A made up story would be happier, and more like the stories of other religions. The Jesus story is a story of hope within tragedy rather than a story of power and glory. Such a story had to be true, because if someone made it up, it would have been different.
