There are worse Christmases to be had...

Did a lot of singing, but the voice held up. That's a good thing.
Spent time with family, another good thing.
Tried cooking goose, which I've never done before, and didn't ruin it. (Actually, it turned out pretty well, but I've decided I like duck better.)
People liked their presents.

All in all, a good year, except for the part about writing proposal stuff.
